Recently, I realized that it might be coming soon.
Whether we're for it or against it, it's inevitable. And to avoid being left behind, we need to be informed before it happens.
Today, medical technologies have made significant progress. But entrepreneurs around the world want to take research to the next level.
Humanity has embarked on a quest for immortality.
In the book "Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind," author Yuval Noah Harari calls this phenomenon:
The Gilgamesh Project and the Race for Immortality.
Google first created its secret laboratory, which they called Company X. That's where they conduct all their research on the technologies of the future.
Then, they hired Raymond Kurzweil. An artificial intelligence specialist, transhumanist theorist, and co-founder of Singularity University.
Google then created its subsidiary Calico. A company whose goal is simply to conquer death.
Calico has partnered with companies like AncestryDNA and 23&Me to further research on DNA.
Besides Google, many entrepreneurs like Jeff Bezos, Peter Thiel, and Elon Musk are funding major research projects on immortality and transhumanism.
How will immortality change our society and our habits?
Are we heading towards paradise on Earth or a complete dystopia?
