How to Convert STEP to 3D Part-List Navigator
This getting-started video shows how to convert a STEP 3D CAD Model from Solidworks into a 3D PDF part-list navigator document file, with part highlighting, selection, isolation and in-situ context display, in a custom-branded drawing page layout. What you will need: STEP AP214 file, PDF3D ReportGen, Adobe Reader DC and MS Word.
The Drawing page background can be edited using the MS Word template layout. The PDF3D ReportGen application session starts by loading the Partlist profile. The STEP file is added as input and the conversion process creates the new PDF. The Adobe Reader menus contain standard views, and major parts are listed in a scrolling list.
