Forest explains in this tutorial how the RGB Mixer works, allowing you to modify a color channel using information from other channels. This is particularly useful for reconstructing missing colors in monochromatic scenes, such as this underwater scene, or in colored lighting (nightclubs, sodium streetlights, etc.).

Free excerpt from the Live Resolve Workshop of December 15, 2022.

The Live Resolve Workshops are training sessions held on Zoom once a month on color grading (and more!) with Forest Finbow, director of photography and colorist in the film industry.

The goal: to continuously improve with an expert, exchange ideas each month with people who share your practices and challenges, and get answers to the specific questions and difficulties you encounter in your color grading work.
