NBA 2K23 is an upcoming basketball simulation video-game that will be developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K Sports. It will be the 23rd instalment in the NBA 2K franchise and the successor to NBA 2K21.
After a shaky entrance to the new generation of consoles, the NBA 2K franchise is looking to build upon its ambitious foundation for NBA 2K23 (release date: September 9). In a short preview event with Visual Concepts, I came away happy to hear that many of my complaints about NBA 2K21 were being addressed in NBA 2K23. For instance, The City, which previously felt empty, is being populated with NPCs and interactable buildings. Still, the shadow of microtransactions and their impact on any new features looms large. It’s hard to say if any changes have been made in that regard, and if history has taught us anything, it’s probably best to assume the worst.
NBA 2K23 is one of the most highly anticipated upcoming sports games. Fans all over the world have enjoyed the 2K series for decades, and this newest entry into the franchise looks to come alongside the next generation of consoles, which only adds to the excitement for NBA 2k21.The reveal of NBA 2K21 emphasized updated graphics and extreme detail. There's little doubt that next NBA 2k will look good, but the gameplay and features of the new title are what matter to most players.
Over the years, there have been many modes and features that have taken center stage within the basketball simulator. In fact, there are features that fans would like to see return to NBA 2K. The Neighborhood is one of the most popular ideas within the 2K games, but it looks to be changing moving forward. #NBA2K23
