45 Viewfinder for PT-059, and other housings

If you photograph nudibranchs or other tiny subjects with an Olympus or OM System TG camera, you probably know the problem: the camera fits beside the rock, but your head does not.
A 90° viewfinder works well over sand and flat surfaces. Against vertical walls, however, it can place your eye in an even more difficult position.
I searched for a 45° solution for these housings and could not find one, so I designed my own.
In this video, I show how this new underwater viewfinder uses two mirrors to redirect the camera screen while keeping the image upright. It allows the camera to remain close to the subject while the photographer stays higher and farther back, in a much more comfortable position.

This version remained attached during every dive and was tested down to 37 metres without damage. The body is intentionally flooded rather than sealed, allowing the internal and external pressure to equalise.
Please note that 37 metres is the depth to which I have personally tested it. It is not a certified maximum depth rating.
The viewfinders are produced AT HOME in Portugal.
