In this video I rake a trip down memory lane to reflect on all the dungeons I have completed in FFXIV: A Realm Reborn, both the 2.0 game and all the patch dungeons with their Hard modes.
Its really more of a retrospective look at all of the dungeons in ARR and then ranking them in a tier list based on my own experiences, thoughts and feelings - whilst taking into consideration the dungeon design, trash mobs, boss fights and monster models, the music of the dungeons, exclusive boss music, the lore and story of each dungeon and of course - how fun it was to play for the first time and a new player and sprout in Eorzea!
🌱 About Redzy's Journey 🌱
So far on my Journey of an Eorzean Lifetime I 've gone from humble beginnings as a fresh sprout logging in to Eorzea for the first time to completing all MSQ and patch content in Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn.
This all began from asking myself one simple question on stream, Can a Classic WoW player start playing Final Fantasy XIV in June 2024 and catch up in time to be ready to join the new Dawntrail expansion?
Having played MMORPG's for over 20 years and being a long time World of Warcraft player from vanilla classic up to the latest expansion The War Within, I have seen and played A LOT of different MMO's over the years, but nothing could have prepared me for the adventures that await in Square Enix masterpiece, Final Fantasy 14.
And now I've completed every raid and story contained within 2.1A Realm Awoken, 2.2 Through the Maelstrom, 2.3 Defenders of Eorzea, 2.4 Dreams of Ice and 2.5 Before the Fall. I've completed the epic story of The Binding Coils of Bahamut and every episode of Hildibrand to finally arrive at the SHOCKING end of A Realm Reborn, still a Sprout, still a new player of FFXIV but with a greater investment in the story.
This is my journey as a new player, a sprout, from WoW to FFXIV: A Realm Reborn, leading on through Heavensward, Stormblood, Shadowbringers, Endwalker and finally into the brand new expansion, Dawntrail.
