It's Time To Let Go
About this video: As we celebrate Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Week (#CHDAwareness), I wanted to share my fear of letting go of my son's heart medicine.
My son was diagnosed when I was 4 months pregnant with a congenital heart defect, Tetralogy of Fallot. He had 2 major heart surgeries prior to turning 9 months old.
For the last 11 years, my son has been on medicine, a beta blocker. It has been his lifeline to having a healthy heart after surgery. We have always had a bottle in our refrigerator for the last 11 years, so why is it so hard to throw it?
It's time, time to let it go and be thankful that my son has made another milestone. Come watch.
