i had to edit this on my old laptop because my new one is currently on repair, it has been for almost a week now and i'm about to die because editing on this thing is nearly impossible. i managed to finish this video only because it's raw, i won't even attempt fx to avoid a mental breakdown :)
hi i'm happy to present you one of my favorite things atm (and most likely for a long time)
i had watched the first two episodes of this anime back in autumn when it started airing, then i forgot about it for some unknown reason and remembered to catch up only in february. i binged the remaining nine episodes in two days and eagerly waited for the second season, which started airing two weeks ago. honestly i already loved the anime a lot, since the sherlock holmes universe is something i enjoy in any context (the james bond elements were the cherry on top tbh), but then i went ahead and read the manga last week and i can confidently say i'd put it in my top 3 favorite mangas without thinking twice, i'm obsessed. no doubt they'll have to cut out a lot of stuff from the anime, which obviously makes me kinda sad, but i'm still so excited to see certain scenes...... i'm not ready
as for the video itself, OF COURSE i had to ship sherlock and william :') their dynamic is something i adore, they're both unbelievably smart and yet so different in their personalities but the way they understand and can relate to one another builds a connection they wouldn't be able to have with anyone else. i already quite liked this pairing when i had watched the anime alone, then the manga happened (chapters 53 and 55 i'm looking at you) and that "quite liked" was multiplied tenfold. if they manage to put those scenes in the anime season as well i'm gonna cry. and if they don't, i'm still gonna cry
so i'm begging you on my knees PLEASE READ THIS MANGA 'CAUSE IT DESERVES SO MUCH ATTENTION
PS: for who read the manga (no spoilers really, but if you haven't read it you won't understand a word of what i'm saying lol): how do you think they're gonna handle the anime adaptation? i have a feeling they're gonna skip the part about moran's past, which makes me kinda upset but it was probably the only thing they could skip without compromising the general plot, and then speedrun through the mary arc? next episode is gonna be jack the ripper, i'm assuming they'll also skip the bank incident with bond. IDK HOW TO FEEL ABOUT THIS, but of one thing i'm sure: we're gonna see milverton soon and i've never wanted to punch a 2d man this badly
