This week’s AutoCAD tip of the week covers a useful way to search named objects from the command line. You can configure the input search options to allow searching for blocks, layers, hatches, text styles, dim styles and visual styles. This easily allows to search a layer and make it current, turn it on/off, lock it, etc. To configure the input search options, you input in the command line INPUTSEARCHOPTIONS and on the select the type of content you want to search from the command line.
