WHAT IS JITEM? Who is Cem Ersever? I'm here with a documentary video. This video, about Türkiye's recent history, delves into the dark years of the 1990s. I begin by explaining what counter-guerrilla warfare is, focusing on the Vietnam War and US activities in South America, and then explaining why JITEM emerged to combat the PKK terrorist organization. In this video, I tried to explain the village guard system against the PKK as best I could, mentioning figures like Arif Doğan, Cem Ersever, and Tansu Çiller. I also explained Talabani's stance on the PKK and Turkey, which emerged as a result of Cem Ersever's successful intelligence work against the PKK in Syria and Iraq, as well as the agreement Saddam Hussein made with the PKK.
