Application Aware Routing
The video shows that by embedding the endpoint as a full fledged participant in the network more intelligent decisions can be made by the network. A couple of examples are differentiated Quality of Service (QoS), differentiated routing, network caching, fault isolation and many others. The endpoint can also befit by actually getting feedback on its current flow treatment which allows him to adjust its network usage based on current conditions.
