Earwax soup created by sodium bicarb drops suctioned off eardrum
In this video we see an ear canal which has been treated fairly aggressively with sodium bicarbonate ear drops. Instead of the wax coming out, the drops have created a liquid slurry right down to the ear drum, requiring delicate suctioning with a fine end. Not all the wax was removed, safeguarding the patient against infection and the ear drying out and becoming itchy.
