Think Twice is a song recorded by Celine Dion. It was written by Andy Hill & Peter Sinfield, produced by Christopher Neil & Aldo Nova. It was released as the 3rd single from Dion's album, The Colour of My Love (1993).
The song became one of Dion's most successful hits in Europe & Australia, topping multiple charts. Remaining at the top of the UK Singles Chart for 7 weeks, it eventually became the 4th single by a female artist to sell in excess of one million copies in the UK.
It remains a staple of Dion's live set in countries where the song was a runaway hit. Dion performed it at the 1995 World Music Awards. It received an Ivor Novello Award for the Best Song Musically & Lyrically in 1995.
It was covered by Alana Dante, Maribel Gonzalez (M:G) & Liel Kolet. It was also performed by Kelly Clarkson on American Idol & Carolynne Good on Fame Academy.
Celine Dion (born 30 March 1968) is a Canadian singer. She is noted for her powerful & technically skilled vocals. Dion is the best-selling Canadian artist & the best-selling French artist of all time.Her music has incorporated genres such as pop, rock, R&B, gospel & classical music.
Born into a large family (she is the youngest of 14 children) from Quebec, she emerged as a teen star in her country during the 1980s. She gained international recognition by winning the 1982 Yamaha World Popular Song Festival & the 1988 Eurovision, where she represented Switzerland. After learning English, in 1990, Dion released her debut English album, Unison.
During the 1990s, she achieved worldwide fame after releasing several best-selling albums in history, such as Falling into You & Let's Talk About Love, with over 30 million sales each. Billboard named her the Queen of Adult Contemporary for having the most no1 songs for a female artist. Dion is the 2nd best-selling female artist in the US, the 8th all-time best-performing top female artist in the US & the 6th all-time best-performing female soloist in Billboard 200 history. In 2003, she was honored by the IFPI for selling over 50 million albums in Europe.
She was named after Hugues Aufray's song Céline.
She was bullied at school & called Vampire, owing to her teeth & skinny frame.
At 18, she receded from the spotlight for months, during which she did dental surgery & learned English.
Celine & Rene married in 1994. In 2000, they renewed their wedding vows.
After Rene's diagnosis with cancer she took a break from the bussines in 2000.
She gave birth to René-Charles, in 2001. Dion suffered a miscarriage in 2009. In 2010, gave birth to twins. Named Eddy (after songwriter Eddy Marnay) & Nelson (after Nelson Mandela).
On 14 Jan 2016, Rene died of throat cancer. 2 days later Dion's brother, Daniel, died aged 59, also of cancer.
