How to Import or Export MIDI Files in Caustic 3 [Tutorial by Ariix]
This tutorial shows you, how to properly export midi file of a caustic 3 project and import it in another project.
Tutorial by Ariix (TCF)
• To export MIDI File from a project: 0:06
Open the caustic 3 project.
Rename the synth machines with suitable names. It is useful when the midi file is imported in another project.
Open the song menu and click export.
Choose '.MID' as filetype and export.
• To import MIDI File in a project: 0:55
Open a caustic 3 project where you want to import the midi tracks.
Open the song menu and click import.
Locate a midi file, select it and load it.
Choose a midi track and click 'not mapped' at its right.
Choose/Add a synth machine in which you want to import the midi notes. Select it.
Repeat that for other midi tracks if you want to.
Click Import. The notes will be added in the sequencer. Click the top-left icon to view it.
If you want the notes as patterns, select the notes and copy.
Go to a pattern, change the length of the pattern to the length of the copied notes and paste.
