Saudi Arabia has introduced new labor regulations to protect agricultural and herding workers, improving their working conditions and rights.
Under the new rules, workers are entitled to 30 days of paid annual leave, a weekly paid day off, and a maximum 8-hour workday with rest breaks. Any extra work is paid as overtime with an additional 50% wage.
The regulations also ensure paid public holidays, suitable accommodation, food or allowance, and transportation where required. Employers are prohibited from exploitation, including charging recruitment fees, taking passports, or assigning work outside the contract.
