But how much does it cost to live in Cape Town, South Africa?
I moved to this incredible city about three months ago, and the vast majority of you, especially on Instagram / pergliamicibarto , have asked me how much it costs to live in South Africa compared to Italy, so I thought I'd create a video to answer this question.
I don't know why, but there are two different factions of people writing to me:
-1) Those who believe that South Africa is incredibly expensive and unlivable because of crime. If you're one of them, I recommend watching this video: • Il mio primo mese a Cape Town 🇿🇦 Sudafrica
-2) Those who believe that living in Cape Town is very cheap, and because it's Africa, the cost of living is completely different from Italy (spoiler alert: it's not).

In the video, I've accurately listed all the costs I've had in the last month, including "annual" costs like health insurance, which, however, weighs heavily on my monthly expenses.
