Society of Petroleum Engineers Kuala Lumpur Young Professionals presents the 1st instalment of our 2021 Young Professionals Energy Connection Series! For this instalment, we have collaborated with Sapura Energy to share on a topic with much interest for many who aspire to join the oil and gas industry, and that is Life on the Rig!
Life on the Rig brings together two seasoned speakers and seafarers from aboard the Sapura Esperanza rig, Captain Harry Teh and Peter Vickneswaran. Captain Harry is a veteran of the marine and oil and gas industry, having 25 years under his belt. Peter is currently the Safety Training Officer (STO) with 9 years of experience. Moderated by Zaharim Hashim, a drilling engineer with 3 years of experience.
Our 2 speakers are as of the time of recording at the Labuan anchorage and unable to return onshore due to COVID-19 restrictions. We applaud and salute their sacrifice for the betterment of industry and nation.
