Intel commissioned Principled Technologies to perform validation testing on the new i9-9900K CPU. The testing methodology is bad and poorly devised, leaving us question the motive and goals.

The 9900K vs. 2700X and 9980XE vs. 2990WX testing by Principled Technologies (by Intel's commission) is flawed in many ways, and Intel's public usage of this data is equivalent to putting their stamp on it. The presentation of this data and testing are grossly inept, primarily on the part of Principled Technologies in its methodologies. Even if the data is accurate, the testing is wrong, and Intel supported this testing. This all relates back to the 9900K, the launch for which had us occupied all yesterday (10/8). Intel has come out with a statement and response to the Principled Technologies controversy, with a quote contained in this video.
