A 3D cup can be created with the parametric forms of a paraboloid for the cup shape, a part of a torus for the handle, and a hemispherical base. A parametric surface in 3D space is formed by extending the concept of parameterized curves to the vector-valued functions of two variables. Parametric equations specify the coordinates of the points that constitute a geometric object, such as a curve or a surface. These are collectively known as the parametric representation of the object. The parameterization of a surface is a vector-valued function of two variables u and v expressed in the i-j-k notation or as an ordered triplet of the functions of u and v.
