Bakra Eid
The festival of Eid al-Adha is celebrated with the slaugther of cows and goats across Pakistan as Muslims commemorate Abraham's readiness to sacrifice his son to Allah.
Qurbani is a meaningful act of faithand piety. The animal offered for sacrifice must be treated humanely and ethically in line with the Shari'ah ruling on halal. It is therefore important to avoid cheap slaughterhouses with little to no supervision as they are often a place of distress for animals.
