To convert coordinates from one coordinate system to another in ArcGIS Pro, you can utilize the Geoprocessing tool called “Convert Coordinate Notation.” Here's a demonstration on how to convert the coordinates from DDM (Degree Decimal Minutes) to DD (Decimal Degrees), plot the resulting points on the map, and export them as a feature class:
Open ArcGIS Pro and access the Geoprocessing tool “Convert Coordinate Notation.”
Specify the input coordinate system as DDM and the desired output coordinate system as DD.
Choose the Excel sheet or feature class containing the coordinates as the input dataset.
Configure the tool to convert the coordinates using the specified input and output coordinate systems.
Execute the tool to perform the conversion.
After the conversion is complete, plot the converted points on the map to visualize their locations.
Finally, export the plotted points as a feature class, which can be done by right-clicking on the layer in the Table of Contents, selecting “Data,” and selecting the “Export Features” option.
