Baldur's Gate was once one of those games (or series) that set the bar for RPGs. It was the first step on BioWare's path to fame. And, after all, it's one of the best games based on the Dungeons & Dragons universe, and the Forgotten Realms setting in particular. Like any other iconic game series, Baldur's Gate has long deserved to have its story captured in gaming chronicles... or at least in books, since manuscripts don't burn, unlike the internet.
