We chat to Gary Davies, CEO of Thula Solutions, who in partnership with Brandt BRV in Bloemfontein South Africa, have created the first locally built electric Safari vehicle from the ground up – for lodges in Africa. With a 170km range from its Lipo Batteries are more than enough for game drives.
BRV also produces a petrol and diesel version that uses the famed Cummins 2.8 turbo diesel, that is priced under R500 000 for the top of the range 4×4 model. Forget the over-hyped Grenadier and city bias Defender, this is South African handmade tough where you need it most on a bakkie!
