April 2026: The Japanese immigration just changed the requirements to apply for a student visa. The proof of studying Japanese for 150 hours (150 hour certificate) is no longer required! You don't need it, but you do need to know basic Japanese. The Japanese language schools are required to test your Japanese skills before you can apply. If you fail the school's video interview test, you can't apply to the school. It's no joke. That's why we made a FREE online course to help you pass the school's interview.
