Trophy hunting: an unnecessary evil
People with a vested interest in trophy hunting use several arguments to defend it, including that it is a ‘necessary evil for conservation and development’. Humane Society International / UK put these arguments to African conservation experts and community leaders. This is their testimony.
We urge the UK Government, MPs and Peers to pass the Hunting Trophies (Import Prohibition) Bill without amendments, doing;
what’s morally right to protect endangered animals,
what they promised to do with their 2019 election manifesto and
what the majority of the British public want.
Trophy Hunting is not a necessary evil for conservation and development.
