4. CISCO Catalyst 9300 - No more eval mode! Smart Licensing Using Policy IOS-XE Since 17.3.2
#Warning - After you upgrade 'tranport input' in vty could be changed if there is nothing configured.
I had 2 days for eval license. but now, i can keep using DNA-Advantage license after upgrading ios to 17.3.3.
affected Starting November 6th, IOS-XE software version 17.3.2
Smart Licensing (Previous)
1. All devices must access to Cisco Smart Software Manager (CSSM) for license registration.
internet, firewall, dns must be configured.
Smart Licensing Using Policy (starting 17.3.2/17.4.1)
1. Most licenses are unenforced without registration.
2. You can register with Cisco Smart Licensing Utility (CSLU) without internet.
3. Only effects to catalyst 9000, asr1k, isr1k, and so on as newer devices.
*Cisco Smart Licensing Utility (CSLU) - on-premies license application installed
