Four mayoral candidates square off at OurWeekly forum
Four candidates who would be mayor -- Eric Garcetti, Jan Perry, Kevin James and Wendy Greuel -- handled themselves well under strong questioning at the OurWeekly mayoral forum on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at Brookins Community AME Church. Moderator Forescee Hogan-Rowles asked written questions from audience while OurWeekly Editor Stanley O. Williford and columnist David L. Horne, Ph.D., peppered the candidates with questions from the panel. The two major issues concerned unemployment and the Crenshaw Rail Line. About 150 people turned out at the forum, which was considered one of the best the audience remembered ever having in the community.
