GTA 5 Update Broke Script Hook V & LSPDFR! Temporary Fix 2026
The latest GTA 5 Legacy update changed the game to version 1.0.3889.0, causing Script Hook V, LSPDFR, and RAGE Plugin Hook to stop working.
In this video, I show the temporary fix I used by copying the compatible GTA 5 files from my own backup version 1.0.3788.0 into my main GTA 5 folder.
Files copied from the backup:
GTA5.exe
GTA5_BE.exe
GTAVLanguageSelect.exe
GTAVLauncher.exe
PlayGTAV.exe
Important: This method requires a backup of your own legally installed GTA 5 files. Do not download GTA executables from random websites.
This is only a temporary Story Mode fix until Script Hook V, LSPDFR, and RAGE Plugin Hook are officially updated for the newest GTA 5 version.
Do not use mods in GTA Online.
