In horror survival game Darkwood: Deadwood throws us into the bleakness of it’s tale right away with the Prologue.
During the prologue, you control someone know simplay as the Doctor, as he goes about his day to day in his cabin in the dark forest. Evidence of his medical work and experiments litter the room, a radio on the floor in the next room over, cages and dirty instrumentation. He had been doing his best to answer the call of help from the village and try to hold back the plague, that had been spreading in the forest, corrupting person, animal and plant alike. This place had become a kink in the natural order
