Hey everyone, I'm finally back!!! I'm planning on doing Lofi and EDM remixes every other week! Let's see how long I can keep this up! I'm over my current writer's block and I think I can create music for a while!
Also, so I my S.O. had this really good idea for an April fools remix but we both forgot it hahahaha
When it came time to make a song for April Fools, I couldn't really think of anything that funny so I just went with one of my favorite songs in general that just happens to be a little bit of a meme. Seriously though, I love this song hahahahaa
In the end, I am super proud of this remix as I was aiming for high impact in each chorus and I think I'm getting better at achieving these kinds of dynamic differences from the verses and the chorus!! I've really been digging Skrillex's latest album and it has inspired me to really try and make my drops more impactful. This year will be me trying to make my drops more intense!! Hopefully I improve in some way.
For the vocals, I absolutely love how they came out! The chorus was a bit high for me but I managed to make it sound good enough! I couldn't do the ad libs at the end though since those notes were out of my vocal range. I hit up my friend Trickle and asked if he was down to do them and he agreed! Trickle has an INSANE range and all of his covers are BANGERS! Please check out his work if you haven't already! We already have another bigger collab in the works as well so stay tuned!!
Overall, it feels good to be back! I've been working on a bunch of originals as well so, keep an eye out for those on my Zenpaku account!
