How to Install Xpand!2 VST Plugin on Windows PC
Requirements
Windows PC (64-bit recommended)
A compatible DAW (Studio One, FL Studio, Ableton Live, Cubase, etc.)
Xpand!2 installer
iLok License Manager account (required for activation)
Installation Steps
Download Xpand!2
Get the official Xpand!2 installer from your licensed software provider.
Download the Windows installer version.
Run the Installer
Open the installer file.
Right-click and choose Run as Administrator if needed.
Accept the license agreement and continue.
Choose Plugin Formats During installation, select:
VST3 (recommended for modern DAWs)
VST2 (optional, if your DAW requires it)
Choose Plugin Location Common VST3 location:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3
If using VST2, choose a folder such as:
C:\Program Files\VSTPlugins
Install
Click Install.
Wait until the process finishes.
Activate Xpand!2
Install and open iLok License Manager.
Sign in to your iLok account.
Activate your Xpand!2 license.
Scan the Plugin in Your DAW Open your DAW and rescan plugins.
Example in Studio One:
Go to Studio One → Options → Locations → VST Plug-ins
Confirm the VST folder is listed.
Click Reset Blocklist if needed.
Restart Studio One.
Open Xpand!2
Create a new Instrument Track.
Open the instrument browser.
Search for Xpand!2.
Load it and start making music.
Troubleshooting
If Xpand!2 does not appear:
Confirm the plugin installed as 64-bit.
Check that your DAW is scanning the correct VST folder.
Restart your computer.
Reinstall and choose the correct plugin format.
