In this video, I take a high-level look at a complete Omada network stack that is good entry level, budget friendly network hardware if you want to dip your toes into 2.5 Gbps networking and faster than 1 Gbps WiFi 7.
The hardware featured in this video is the following:
Omada ER707-M2 which is a router/gateway/firewall appliance that has dual 2.5 Gbps interfaces (for WAN/LAN), four 1 Gbps Ethernet interfaces, and one 1 Gbps SFP interface (it's not SFP+ 10 Gbps).
Omada SG2210XMP-M2 PoE smart switch featuring eight 2.5 Gbps interfaces, and two 10 Gbps SFP+ interfaces.
Omada OC220 hardware controller for local, centralized management of your Omada hardware
Omada EAP723 WiFi 7 access point featuring a 2.5 Gbps interface (only supports 5 GHz but can reach 1.8-2.3 Gbps on its widest 5GHz channel width)
While this video is a high-level look at the hardware, I do plan to do more detailed technical guides in the future featuring Omada hardware for those who use such hardware on their home networks so stay tuned for those upcoming videos.
