A very old and popular tune, admired and adored by all music lovers.
I learnt this song from an elderly gentleman who was an inmate in a halfway home, where I worked for a while some 20 years ago.
"When I was just a little boy... "
was rendered by him often during music hour there...he had such a bold and defining voice"
We also have a Tamil version of this song as " Vennila Nila"
My playing is influenced by both the versions... whatever I retained in memory...
With due acknowledgements to Jay Livingston,Ray Evans and Doris Day, I had tried this song in my harmonica...
