VN24 - Semitrailer Truck skidded into a ditch - recovery manager Matthias in action
VN24 - 19-02-2023 (D/M/Y) - Unna A44 / Germany - Major operation on Sunday morning. Salvage manager Matthias from the Widliczek company and crane contractor Rene Sälzer had the task of recovering this Semitrailer from a difficult situation. At around 11:00 a.m., the driver of a cooling truck on the A44 freeway heading west from the direction of Kassel intended to turn onto the A1 northbound towards Bremen at the Dortmund / Unna freeway intersection. In the exit, the so-called tangent, his truck skidded for unknown reasons on a rain-soaked road and left the road to the right. There the truck slid crosswise down a slope and came to a halt in bushes and trees. A crane was used to lift the tractor unit and a tow truck used a winch to pull the crashed truck back onto the road. According to the police, the driver was uninjured. The exit towards Bremen had to remain closed until well into the afternoon.
