Little owls are living dust balls
Ksenia received a whole bucket of little owls for rehabilitation. 5 of them are older, which is why they are already afraid of people, but the youngest one is the silliest, so he gets more tasty treats, just like in the stories. [This is a reference to Ivan the Fool - a stock character in Russian folklore who, despite being simple-minded, ends up being successful.]
