In this video, I will tell you How To Fix Cannot Access Shared Folder Error in Windows
the way that I tell you works in All Windows Versions from Windows 7 up to the latest Windows 11 update.
If you see this error that says you can't access this shared folder because of security policies, do this:
Press the logo + R and then type regedit
In this way Windows registry opens for you
Now follow this path
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CURRENTCONTROLSET\Services\LanmanWorkstation\Parameters
Create a new DWORD if you don't see this option.
AllowInsecureGuestAuth
Right click, then create a new DWORD(32-bit) value
Click on it, then set the value data to 0 or 1 based on what I tell you.
0 means anyone can connect to the shared folder
1 means the users need to type the username and password to connect into the shared folder.
If you set zero, your network security becomes too low.
I just added a username and password to easily access the shared network.
search on Windows Credential Manager, then open it
As you can see, on Windows credentials, I added a new Windows credential.
I hope this video helps you fix your network problem.
If you want, you can watch this video too!
In this video, I will tell you how you can get 1TB of cloud storage for life! It's totally free :)
