How to create smooth transitions in your live sets 🎛
Hey friends,
Transitions in live sets are not easy, especially when your songs are in different keys. Here is a quick tip how I like to approach this issue:
1. Resample the melodic material from song 1
2. Create a pitch automation to move to the pitch of the next song (eg in this case transposition everything up to go from D Minor to F Minor)
3. Bring in elements from song 2 to play along with elements of song 1 and they should be in key.
Of course there are exceptions where this is not working super smooth (switching from minor to major) but in general it works super well for me.
