I tried Arch Linux for a week expecting to fully move away from the clutches of Microsoft bloat in Windows 11, but alas I returned to Windows 11, in this video I detail my initial Arch experience, and then detail why I turned back.
After years on Windows, I switched to Arch Linux looking for better privacy and customization. I enjoyed the speed, freedom, and aesthetic control of using Hyprland but quickly hit a wall. The constant need for the terminal, tricky file management, and game compatibility issue ultimately drove me back. This is my honest account of why I returned to Windows 11 and what I learned about my operating system preferences along the way.
