Julian Alaphilippe's Specialized S-Works Tarmac SL6 I Tour de France 2018
Specialized's two sponsored WorldTour teams, QuickStep Floors and BORA-hansgrohe, have two main road bikes at their disposal: the aerodynamic Venge and this, the Tarmac all-rounder.
This machine belongs to QuickStep's explosive climber, Julian Alaphilippe. The S-Works Tarmac has a frame weight of less than 800g, helping the former Vuelta a Espana stage winner lay down the power when the road rises, while the tube profiles have also been optimised for aerodynamics and comfort.
Alaphilippe's bike is equipped with mid-section Roval carbon fibre wheels, wrapped in Specialized tyres, while the Frenchman also uses a power meter and saddle from his bike sponsor.
