The Railroad's Blacksmith shop
During our shutdown, the Nevada Northern Railway will be posting videos and pictures of the railroad. Please understand that we are not professional videographers nor do we have profession equipment. As we do more videos, I’m sure we will get better at it.
This video is on one of the three blacksmith shops on the complex. It is the largest one and is located behind the machine shop. We do use it occasionally. Currently the drop hammer is out of service because the base has slipped. It is on the repair list. It will be a huge job because the roof will have to be removed and a crane brought in.
