CERBER - To the Downfall (2023 album presentation)
The new album is more like a collection, because all the songs sound different.
Every piece has been composed for 30 years. It was reduced during 2023. Each song has a soul and mood, created by time, sweat and blood (literally)
1. Outcome is here – the intro of the album, the music is taken from the introduction to the 1993 album Pungent Stench. It's a tribute to the Austrian band and just banter. Our text, in the album version, also sounds in English, but conveys the essence of the concert screensavers, which sound in Russian
2. Carve is a new piece written right at the rehearsal in 10 minutes, influenced by the sound of the machines of the Ivanovo factory. Sloppiness in everything!
3. Confirmed Death – the second one sounds at concerts. It consists of pieces of old Cerberus and new motifs. An energetic thing, in Full Dynamic processing. Don't be surprised at the sound level when listening!
4. Step Into Nowhere – The intro of the song is taken from an old band thing. Further-more) Despite the simplicity of the parts, it turned out to be almost the most difficult record in terms of instrument synchronization
5. Reanimated is one of the last things Cerberus of the 90s, not finished then, finished today. Perhaps the most technically difficult song, with motifs of the old Deicide, similar to Confirmed Death. No one knows, but the original title of the song sounds like Reanimated by Necrophile. The last word has been removed for the sake of the zeitgeist)
6. No More Flesh is the first song after Renuel of the band, assembled from old pieces. She opened all the concerts in 2023. It sounds very straightforward. Not like the others
7. Blowfly, aka Blowfly – there's not even anything to add here, except that it was stripped from early Napalms. Favorite song of bassist Goose) and a favorite of the audience
