Install FortiClient VPN on MacOS
Step by Step
1. Open the FortiClient Installer
2. Under License click Continue
3. Then click Agree to accept the terms and proceed
4. Select Installation Destination , just click Continue (default is fine).
5. Click Install to begin the standard installation process
6. The system will ask for your macOS user password
7. After installation begins, a prompt may appear asking you to Allow "FortiTray". Click Allow when prompted.
8. Once the installation finishes, you will see “The installation
was successful.” Click Close
Configure VPN
1. Click Configure VPN
2. Fill in the following:
Connection Name:
Gateway:
3. Open Advanced Settings and VPN Settings.
4. Under Single Sign-On Settings:
Enable SSO.
Set Customize Port to 10428.
Enable Use external browser
5. Under VPN settings click Version 2
6. In Phase 1 Settings:
Encryption: AES 256
Authentication: SHA256 and SHA512
Enable Local LAN
Keylife: 86400
7. In Phase 2 Settings:
Encryption: AES 256
Authentication: SHA256 and SHA512
Click Save
8. You can now connect to the VPN.
