hi, this is Liono Maker. AC Voltage is in form of sinusoidal shape it depends how you deals with that and calculate it. In this video I performed a practical to measure AC current. I have used ACS712 20A, a current sensor( also called hall effect sensor). It is used to measure both ac and dc current. For measuring Dc Current, we have to make sure I/p Ve+ & Ve- terminals connected at right place. I used Arduino UNO and programmed it to calculate exact current consuming. In my calculations a little bit error is occurring to match the exact current consumed. If you pick it positively it will give you a way to calculate AC current.
