SECTION. presents CEM from Berlin.
CEM (real name Cem Dukkha) is one of the three core members behind Herrensauna, the legendary queer techno party that's become a vital part of Berlin's underground. What started as raw warehouse sessions has grown into a global movement - now resident at Tresor, pulling 2000+ people, and known for its raw italo-metal aesthetic and critical contribution to Berlin's queer community.
Born in Vienna to Turkish migrant workers, CEM co-organized the first queer techno night there before moving to Berlin where he found complete liberation. His DJ sets are pure emotive hysteria - frenetic, industrial-edged techno offset by his enigmatic presence and selection. He's played Bassiani, toured Japan and China (including a 9-hour set), and shared stages with DVS1.
Initially inspired by hardcore punk and death metal, he found techno at 18 and never looked back.
Beyond DJing, CEM's released solo work like "Music for Spaces" and "FORMA" - experimental compositions using percussion, strings, noise, and processed vocals that sit somewhere between sonic sculpture and trance-like ambient. But it's his DJ sets where the real magic happens - pure pace, pure energy, pure Herrensauna intensity.
