How to group clips for Avid Media Composer with Toolium?
Simple, check this out, I organise my sequence according to camera grouping order with a drag and drop. Now, I’ll export my sequence to a file. In export as window I click options, and in the export settings window in the first dropdown I will choose AAF, checkbox AAF edit protocol, and then checkbox all video tracks and all audio tracks. In the video and audio tabs choose the ‘link to’ option, and uncheck all other boxes. I save the setting and export the file.
I open my browser window to toolium.org/grouper and drag my file to the dropzone. The file is uploading, and now grouper is processing,
I get a download button, so I’ll download that file to my computer
Now I import it into avid. For keeping order i like to import the AAF into a new bin, and I can drag the AAF file straight into that bin
