The Non-Canon Expert explains the real motivations that were behind Grand Admiral Thrawn's development of the Imperial TIE Defender, showing how although they are related to Thrawn's tactical suggestions to Emperor Palpatine, there was a more important underlying motivation for Thrawn's choice of starfighter!
