Three years after Geheimnis, Isolation Berlin is back – and their new album, Electronic Babies, immediately captivates with clear statements and honest lyrics. Tobias Bamborschke makes his commitment to authenticity clear right from the opening track: he has no interest in moralizing, but rather celebrates the duality of human nature – and that's what makes Isolation Berlin authentic and unvarnished.

Musically, we can expect a sophisticated homage to 2000s indie rock. The instruments are perfectly balanced, and targeted repetition adds intensity to many tracks – a bit like The Smiths or Oasis. The band blends driving indie stompers with emotional three-quarter ballads, keeping the compositions varied and accessible.

The album also evokes nostalgia: In Verliebt in dieses Lied (In Love with This Song), Bamborschke sings about memories of MTV nights and summer holidays – themes that many can immediately relate to. Isolation Berlin manages to infuse their own sound and humor into the music, sometimes almost a little weird, sometimes ironic, but always captivating.

Overall, this is an album that shows its rough edges – a work you can love or critically examine, but certainly won't ignore. Here's my detailed review and conclusion on Electronic Babies!
