Making Pop Music in FL Studio (2018): Alright [Behind the Scenes]
Making a pop song may seem challenging to some people. I’m here to show you how I broke down the simple production to my latest pop song ‘Alright (feat. Philip Errazo)’. Once you understand the basic concept of overlaying instruments, making a good song becomes easier with every new beat you produce! Here’s how I made it:
1. Start off with the basic chord structure
2. Brainstorm melodies that are catchy and memorable
3. Build drums based on the direction of the song
4. Work on structuring the song into its main components (i.e. Verse, Chorus, Bridge)
5. Write meaningful lyrics
6. You’re done!
