Joseph William Calzaghe is a Welsh former professional boxer who competed from 1993 to 2008. He was born on in Hammersmith, London on March 23, 1972 and is now 49 years old. Nicknamed the "Pride of Wales" and the "Italian Dragon", Calzaghe ranked as the longest-reigning champion in professional boxing history, with an undefeated record in both the super middleweight and light heavyweight categories. As of 2021, BoxRec ranks him as the thirteenth greatest fighter of all time, pound for pound, as well as the greatest European boxer of all time.
