Graph a logarithmic equation and determine the domain and range

👉 Learn how to graph logarithmic functions involving vertical shift. The logarithmic function is the inverse of the exponential function. To graph a logarithmic function, it is usually very useful to make the table of values of the function. This is done by choosing a range of values of x and then plug the x-values into the function to get the y-values. We then graph the obtained points.
When a constant is added/subtracted to the logarithmic function, the function is said to be transformed vertically. Addition of a constant to the logarithmic function moves the graph of the logarithmic function upwards while subtraction of a constant to the logarithmic function moves the graph of the function downwards.
